No words can express our horror and dismay regarding the shooting at a high school in Parkland, FLA. yesterday. 17 were killed and the death toll could rise according to authorities. The 19 year old gunman was armed with a semiautomatic AR-15 rifle and caused this carnage. It's a story we have too often been accustomed to hearing in America. Mass shootings in schools. As a mother of ten year old twin girls, I can't believe they're growing up in this current state of chaos in America. We HAVE to elect candidates who are not funded by the NRA. As Chris Murphy, U.S. Senator (CT) states "If your a political leader doing nothing about this slaughter, your an accomplice." People have to take action. And we support those non-profit organizations, on a state level, that are taking action. We are pleased to announce that Survivors Empowered will be our new recipient charity for ending gun violence in 2018. 50% of net sales from our red end gun violence t-shirt will go to this organization. Survivors Empowered was founded by Sandy and Lonnie Phillips after the slaughter of their daughter, Jessica Redfield Ghawi and eleven others in the Aurora Colorado Theater Mass Shooting in 2012. Their mission is to empower survivors of violence to use their stories to create a reduction in violence that we all desire. "There have been 18 shootings in schools in 2018. Enough." (-Survivors Empowered) Join us as we continue to take action. -Alex & the End Violence Now Team

These are violent times. There's no other way to put it. With the recent events in Charlottesville, combined with the ongoing setbacks from the current administration, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. But all action begins with a single step. Our t-shirts are designed to be that step. And we've made it even easier to take it with our end of the summer sale. Right now, all our end violence now tees are 50% off and 100% of net proceeds goes to our wonderful charities. We are making room for our new line of end violence now shirts.
We've received so many wonderful comments from our customers saying how comfortable our tees are and how they feel proud wearing such a positive message. Many of our new customers have been acquired by people seeing our tees and asking about them. So thank you for spreading the message of peace, love and understanding!!
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER:
"America is showing its strength and resiliency right now. We're stepping up and showing up in record numbers against the powerful, violent ravages of #HurricaneHarvey. I'd like to mention a great organization that I used to work for: @AllHandsVolunteers:
All Hands is a volunteer-driven, disaster-relief organization on the ground in Texas helping in rescue and relief efforts. Knowing All Hands as I do, they'll be on the ground rebuilding for months after the hurricane has left the news. I used to volunteer and work for All Hands, so I know first-hand what a transparent, kind, and most of all, effective organization it is in the wake of a natural disaster. If you're considering making a donation to relief efforts of #HurricaneHarvey, please consider All Hands. Thank you!"
Please stay safe and enjoy the last waning days of summer and stay tuned for more shirts to end violence now!

A year ago, 49 people were gunned down by a madman with a semi-automatic rifle at Pulse, a LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, FL. They were there celebrating Latin night at the club. It was declared the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Therefore this summer, End Violence Now wants to honor those fallen individuals with action.
This action seems more significant, due to two horrific recent shootings. One happened during a congressional baseball practice and sent at least 5 people to the hospital, and the other claimed two lives and wounded three others at a UPS facility in San Francisco.
What is it going to take to stop the hate and violence? A revolution. But it starts with one step, one ACTION. Small steps compound into bigger ones, and eventually lead a grassroots movement. So join us and take action this summer. Buy a $25 shirt, feel good knowing that 100% of net proceeds go to the charity designated by shirt color, and wear your heart on your sleeve! The simple act of wearing this t-shirt spreads the message that we want to end violence now and we want real change to happen.
Throughout the months of June and July, End Violence Now will donate 100% of our net #tshirt proceeds to our charities: NCAVP Not In Our Town and States United to Prevent Gun Violence Purchase your shirt here today and take action with us. Buy a shirt today

Is a t-shirt really a way to take action?
Yes. A t-shirt is a powerful, moving billboard. By wearing the shirt, you will spread a message far and wide and promote conversation, awareness and change.
It's a way to move a message and go viral in the most personal way. In this age of “fake news” we need to spread positivity and hope. As Michelle Obama said recently, “Now we know what not having hope feels like.” We need to have small channels of action, a way for people to come together and feel like they’re doing something together, for the good of humanity. We are worn down by the media’s constant focus on the negative, and the incessant reporting on hate and violence. We need to promote the right kind of message and keep on repeating it, and our t-shirts are a way to do that.
In the words of George Michael: “If you’re gonna do it, do it right.”
Our T-shirt is a collective pronouncement for peace.
End Violence Now’s logo is a call-to-action for peace. It’s a stand-alone message that conveys harmony. Like Bill Moyer’s suggests in his recent article, we all need to“maintain a running count of hate crimes and violence triggered around the country by Trump’s election and rhetoric — perhaps in conjunction with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which regularly reports on hate crimes, bigotry and bullying directed at immigrants, African-Americans, Muslims, Jews, gays and lesbians, the disabled and others.” We are equal and we are all in this together, and this t-shirt shows our solidarity in this fight for humanity.
In the words of Prince: “We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.”
Our t-shirt is a simple way to create change.
Many people are asking “what can we do?” It feels overwhelming the task at hand. We asked ourselves that this past summer, and that’s how the idea of End Violence Now T-Shirts was born. What you can do is buy a $25 shirt, wear it proudly, and spread the word and message to friends and family. We contribute 50% of net proceeds to amazing grassroots organizations doing the important work of ending violence on a local and national level. Together, we can speak out to end this new era of violence we seem to be moving toward. So far, there has been nothing to suggest inclusion or unity with the incoming administration. As peaceful citizens, we need to start taking back America in 2017. If you don’t agree, then this t-shirt movement isn’t for you. To our staunch supporters and customers, we welcome your feedback next year to make our movement to end violence now louder and stronger than ever!
In the words of David Bowie: “I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.”
Finally, all of us at End Violence Now want to thank you for making our first few months possible and for your belief that we can end violence one t-shirt at a time. We couldn't do what we do without you. And a special shout-out to our partners: States United to Prevent Gun Violence, Not In Our Town and National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs for being at the forefront of ending violence in the United States.
In the words of Princess Leia/Carrie Fisher: “May the force be with you.”
Human Rights Day is observed every year on December 10th.
HUMAN RIGHTS DAY "...commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 1950, the Assembly passed resolution 423 (V), inviting all States and interested organizations to observe 10 December of each year as Human Rights Day."
"This year, Human Rights Day calls on everyone to stand up for someone's rights! Disrespect for basic human rights continues to be wide-spread in all parts of the globe. Extremist movements subject people to horrific violence. Messages of intolerance and hatred prey on our fears. Humane values are under attack." un.org
Yes, basic human rights are currently under attack in this nation. There's a President-Elect inciting more fear and hatred, the likes I've never seen before...
That's why now, more than ever, it's important to stand up and speak out for humanity. I want you to consider giving a gift that does just that. A purchase of one of our $25 t-shirts is a simple way to build awareness around the growing problem of violence in the United States. Feel confident that 50% of our net proceeds from each sale goes towards non-profit organizations working hard to help humanity and end violence in America. We've heard comments like "a t-shirt can't do that!" And to an extent that's true. However, it's a small, positive step that EVERYONE can take and hopefully, when compounded, will build into a larger, more powerful movement! People are looking for simple ways to "take action" in these uncertain times and we're providing a small avenue for action.
Plus, by being here and reading this blog...we'll give you a FREE gift to spread more peace this holiday season. Submit your email in the above bar at the top of our site and we'll send you a personalized animated holiday card with your name on it! Offer expires Dec 16th. Use it to send, post and share some peace to the people you care about.
Take a stand for humanity today and every day!

What a few weeks it has been…
End Violence Now launched a week and a half before the election. I think most of America was shocked with the Trump win, I know I was. But, there's been a positive reaction that has come out of all this. America is showing its resiliency and speaking out against hate, now more than ever...
Trump’s election has shocked thousands of people out of complacency. Social media support groups have popped up with members in the millions. Organized peaceful marches have grown throughout major cities and small towns. Strangers are helping each other. Just the other day, a nice man grabbed my grocery items as I waited on line and “Please go ahead of me, you’re carrying a lot of things and I’d like to help.”
“I’d like to help…”
It’s such a simple, powerful message and it’s one that America is built on: helping each other. It has through the centuries...it may ebb and flow as every cycle does, but helping, kindness and love always wins out over hate.
However, constant action and work is needed to combat hate and educate the uninformed. Many people fear what they don't know. "Every hour, a crime motivated by the perpetrator’s bias against the victim occurs in the United States. These hate crimes terrorize whole communities by making members of certain classes - whether racial minorities, LGBTQ people, religious minorities or people who are perceived to be members of these groups - afraid to live in certain places and be free to move about in their community and across the country." (http://www.hrc.org/resources/hate-crimes-law). That's why educating is the key to understanding. Conversations lead to better understanding and I hope our t-shirts are conversation starters. End Violence Now is a simple way a person can help combat the hate cycle we're currently facing. Conversations can lead to change.
Picture thousands of people wearing our shirts, starting thousands of conversations. It's a big wish, but it's one that I have. Our powerful logo & sleeve art combined with our 50% net donation model to anti-violence charities is a simple, yet effective, two-prong solution.
The past few weeks have been trying ones to say the least, but I'm incredibly grateful for your support in the launch of End Violence Now. I’d like to offer you a small token of thanks. If you buy one of our t-shirts before Dec 15th, you’ll receive a free animated holiday card customized with your name on it. Use it to send, post and spread some peace this holiday season! After you've made your purchase, just send us a note at email@example.com telling us how you'd like your name to appear and we'll send you back an animated card within 72 hours. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

We’re glad you’ve landed here! You may be wondering about us and how we think. Well, we think we can make a difference. The horrendous acts of violence that the US has witnessed over the past several months were so overwhelming that it was no longer a question of “What can we do?” but a demand that “We must do something...now!”
The statistics are overwhelming: Americans own 265 million guns - that have contributed to approximately 32,000 gun deaths and twice as many gun injuries each year. Gun deaths and injuries constitute a major public health crisis in the United States.*
The news is overwhelming: This past summer there were racial riots in Texas, Minnesota and Wisconsin following yet more shootings. The most recent riots in Charlotte, North Carolina this past September brought in the national guard and a mandatory curfew.
The hate is overwhelming: More than 200 anti-LGBTQ hate bills have been introduced this year in 34 states.** 49 people were killed at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando this past June when a gunman opened fire with an assault rifle - it was the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
Our desire to spread the message that gun, racial & LGBT violence MUST stop, paired with the idea of helping organizations that lead the charge against hate and violence, led to the birth of End Violence Now, LLC. We’re a small LLC with a big idea. We’re not a non-profit, but we pledge to give 50% of our net proceeds to some amazing, smaller non-profits. We’re proud to partner with States United To End Gun Violence, Not In Our Town, and National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs for this initial effort. They’re grassroots organizations getting it done on a local and national level.
As our anti-violence movement grows, we’ll add more t-shirt colors and more charities to the mix. And we want to add you! We welcome your thoughts and ideas in this effort. Thanks so much for taking action with us!
